There was jubilation at the Zambia Statistics Agency (ZAMSTATS) office grounds last week as the household mapping and listing team flagged off 20 vehicles to be used in the field.
The vehicles, all lined up in a similar fashion, had a very clear story to tell: ZAMPHIA field implementation activities are taking off!
Mr. Mulenga Katongo at the event.
Speaking during the vehicle handover event, the ZAMPHIA survey Data Management Technical Lead Mr. Mulenga Katongo explained that since the survey will be conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic, strict measures had been put in place to ensure that all the vehicles to be used in the field are regularly disinfected before use.
Mr. Katongo, who spoke with visible excitement, further advised the mapping and listing team to always abide by all the COVID-19 prevention measures while in the field to protect themselves and survey participants from the virus.
Meanwhile, Mr. Danny Kachali, the head driver, urged all the drivers assigned to the team to always inspect their vehicles beforehand.
Please stay tuned for more exciting updates.
